Rockport, 1000 Islands, has been known from the early 1900s for lodges and resorts. While modes of transportation and accommodation have evolved over time, Rockport continues to offer unique and traditional accommodations.

If you are travelling by RV there is a full service RV Park, Rockport Lighthouse Country Store and RV Park, right on the Parkway just about one mile east of the Rockport entrance that boasts large lots with full service hook-ups, a pool, a convenience store, a restaurant and a liquor outlet. It's a one-stop shop & RV Park with all your needs. The 1000 Island Parkway Bike Path is at the doorstep for cycling and walking enthusiaists.

If camping is your accommodation of choice then bring your tent and gear and try the unique experience of camping on a park island. Water taxis await you at the marinas to transport you and your gear to one of the several local island parks where you can set up camp, go hiking, swimming, fishing and enjoy an open fire at night. Reservations are not available at the Park Islands so arrive early to avoid disappointment.

If travelling by boat, overnight docking is available at Park Islands, local marinas and resorts. Reservations are available at some locations but most operate on a  first-come-first-served basis.Stay in Rockport

Today you will find the Boathouse Country Inn on the site of the old Cornwall store and homestead and it boasts large bright rooms overlooking the Cheese Factory Bay with balconies for enjoying the views. They also have unique B&B Suites with private balconies that have amazing panoramic views and are ideal for honeymoon suites or that special getaway.

Another ideal riverside resort is Caiger’s Riverside Resort which has been a fishing lodge bringing families together for generations and generations. This resort has expanded and evolved to meet the expectations of today’s travellers and now boasts a large pool and poolside deck as well as a beach and docking.

Both of these resorts have onsite dining facilities, docking facilities and easy access to other activities and services.

There are a couple unique alternative accommodations available within Rockport at local marinas.

Ed Huck Marine offers a historic waterfront lodge, featuring 5 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, large open living room with TV and DVD player, sitting room, huge riverside porch, and dining room. Andress Boat Works Marina offers a RiverRock Suite perched on a rocky point, overlooking the river and providing a panoramic view of the islands. This 1-bedroom suite has a unique B&B twist where breakfast ingredients are provided in the fully equipped kitchenette to enable you to prepare your own breakfast, at your own pace, and enjoy it on the balcony overlooking the river.
